Peacock has launched a never-before-seen clip of The Workplace as a part of its new Season 5 “Superfan” drop, that includes deleted scenes, bloopers, featurettes, and interviews with the forged of the beloved sitcom.
The newly launched scene, first shared by E! Information Friday morning, was filmed as a part of the Season 5 episode “The Surplus,” during which Michael Scott (Steve Carell) discovers more money left in Dunder Mifflin’s funds and has to resolve whether or not to purchase a brand new copier, new chairs, or pocket a proportion of the cash as a bonus for himself.
The never-before-seen clip takes place after Michael decides to maintain the cash. It is clear Michael is speaking about himself as he shares a narrative a few 12-year-old boy who needed a Pippy Longstocking doll for Christmas and as a substitute discovered to be pleased about what he already had.
“Like some other 12-year-old boy, he needed a Pippi Longstocking doll for Christmas,” Michael says. “However his evil stepfather Jeff stated, ‘No, chances are you’ll not have what you need. You need to have a soccer.’ And the boy cried, and he cried, and he cried, and he held his breath so long as he might and he would not eat his dinner.”
“However you recognize one thing?” he continues. “It seems that Jeff was proper as a result of I already had a G.I. Joe and a Stretch Armstrong and a Malibu Barbie and a Main Matt Mason, which technically is sufficient for a tea occasion. So my level is that this, I did not want what I believed I wanted. What I wanted was to learn to recognize what I had.”
“Which on this case, was sufficient dolls to have a tea occasion?” asks Jim (John Krasinski), earlier than the scene picks up with footage that initially aired in 2008.
The Workplace is at present streaming on Peacock.
